Security Officer Part Time Access Control

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a dynamic retail location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor activity, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or vendors at a retail and mall front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and direct visitors, provide information regarding the location, and maintain a professional and welcoming front desk presence.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor logs and/or other front desk records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Answer incoming calls, receive deliveries, and communicate relevant information to tenants, management, and/or emergency responders as directed.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
