Security Officer Part Time Access Control

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers at an automotive manufacturing location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, shipping and receiving zones, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct guests as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$13.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday
