As a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Systems Monitoring in Cranbury, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing badge access, monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security-related concerns. Your visible presence, professional communication, and customer-focused approach will help deter incidents while supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor access documentation, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and shipments in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access and unauthorized removal of property.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control systems and badge processing is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
