About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and help maintain a secure environment. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, provide professional customer service, and communicate clearly with site personnel.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, process visitors and contractors, and maintain accurate access-control documentation in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
- Report unusual activity, policy violations, equipment issues, and other security-related concerns through required communication and reporting channels.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Access control and badge experience.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Pay
$14.96 / hour
Schedule
- Tuesday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
