Security Officer Part Time Access Control

About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control, assist visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting and reporting unusual conditions or incidents.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation using established procedures.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
