As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control in Kingsport, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. Using communication and technology skills, you will document observations and assist visitors and personnel while representing Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Pay and schedule

Pay Rate: $17.41 / Hour

Schedule: Tuesday 10:00 AM – 06:00 PM, Friday 10:00 AM – 06:00 PM

What you'll do

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Report security-related incidents, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards promptly through required communication and reporting channels.

Minimum requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
