Security Officer - Part Time Access Administration

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access at residential entry points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to resident concerns, access-related incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
