About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location in Sandston, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to alarm-related activity. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while using technology to document observations and support site operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential facility concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and credential compliance in accordance with site procedures; document and report access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• CPR and First Aid experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• Alarm panel experience.
