Security Officer Overnights Full Time

About the role

As an Access Control Officer supporting a logistics and distribution location in Florence, KY, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized personnel, drivers, and delivery partners according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts as required.
• Monitor the movement of people and vehicles entering and leaving the facility, report unauthorized access attempts, and help deter prohibited activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
