Security Officer - Overnight Part Time

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related needs. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor management and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
