Security Officer - Overnight Access Control

As a Security Officer - Overnight Access Control in South Las Vegas, near South St Rose Parkway, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms as needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
