Security Officer Overnight Access Authorization

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Newville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and communication to visitors, drivers, and team members while supporting a secure workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain required entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
