Security Officer, On Call ($19.00/HR) - Mehoopany, PA

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors assigned areas, or grounds by working in various assignments including roving inside the facilities, roving in a vehicle, and other locations.
• Ensures safety and compliance by observing actions and those of others.
• Verbalizes de-escalation techniques to maintain safety.
• Examines and secures doors, windows, and other areas to ensure security.
• Reports and records data such as property damage and unusual occurrences.
• Handles logistics for incoming and outgoing traffic of employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Warns and apprehends violators of rules and may expel them.
• Notifies individuals of visitors wishing to see them.
• Assists in responding to emergencies or disasters to preserve life and property.
• Performs routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.
• Issues and records ID badges.
• Checks and ensures the operation of heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems.
• May assist in other position duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two (2) years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years preferred.
• Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Ability to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Ability to be on your feet for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Speaks, understands, reads, and writes English.
• Safety-oriented as this is a safety-sensitive position.
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.
