Position Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure campground environment through regular patrols, monitoring activity, and responding appropriately to incidents or concerns.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of the campground, facilities, and common areas
- Maintain situational awareness and monitor access points to ensure compliance with campground policies
- Respond to incidents, safety concerns, and guest inquiries in a professional manner
- Document incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and timely
- Cookordinate with campground management and local emergency services when necessary
- Enforce campground rules consistently while maintaining a customer-focused approach
- Observe and report maintenance, safety, or security risks
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred
- Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict-de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license required
