Security Officer - Night Shift Weekdays

About the Role

As a Security Officer X Ray Inspection in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people, packages, and property, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and access requirements
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted areas
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts as needed
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Skills

• Customer service experience is preferred
• Loss prevention experience is preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred
