Security Officer - Morning Vehicle Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer - Morning Vehicle Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as residential communities. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document activity while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential community grounds, building exteriors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and policy violations in clear and accurate reports.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and monitoring of residential property activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
