Security Officer - Morning Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer - Morning Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to guests and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and parking facility users while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parking areas, garages, entrances, exits, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic, assist with access control procedures, and report unauthorized parking, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$17.75 / Hour

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time
• Day shift: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
