Security Officer Morning Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Morning Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail and mall location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, lost-and-found inquiries, and other customer-service needs while maintaining a professional presence.

Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
