Security Officer Morning Campus Patrol
About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol Response Driver in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious activity, facility issues, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete required reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and campus contacts regarding incidents, observations, and shift activities.
Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
