About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas while verifying access activity, reporting maintenance or security-related concerns, and following post orders for the location.
  • Support daily property operations by completing incident reports, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with customer service requests and/or directional guidance as needed.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

  • Customer service skills.
