Armed Security Officer Morning Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by following site-specific procedures, post orders, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document security-related activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and/or movement within the location to help support compliance with established rules, identification procedures, and authorized access requirements.
• Carry authorized equipment as required for the post, remain prepared to respond to security-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders when needed.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
