Armed Security Officer Morning Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver Security Officer in Taylorsville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment at a government corrections location. This driving position requires strong communication, customer service, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of movement within assigned areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communication records in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions).
• Armed Guard Card or License (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$21.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Daytime shifts: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM.
• Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday.
