Armed Security Officer Morning Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns at a government corrections location. This role supports a professional environment through clear communication, exceptional customer service, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and parking locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, or policy violations.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with personnel and visitors.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$21.50 per hour.

• Daytime shifts:
• Monday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Saturday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sunday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
