About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer Driver Facility Rounds in Syracuse, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents at a healthcare location. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will support patients, staff, and visitors through strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and general information, and help support orderly movement throughout the location.
• Support healthcare staff during routine and urgent situations by following post orders, communicating clearly, and coordinating responses with supervisors and local responders when needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Pay

$23.44 per hour.

Schedule

• Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
