About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare-related medical examiner location in New York, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a controlled environment for staff and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$18.87 / hour

- Wednesday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Thursday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Saturday: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
- Sunday: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
