About the role

As a Security Officer - Medical Facility in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Screen and monitor visitors, vendors, and/or staff entering designated areas, verify access requirements, and report unusual activity or concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting healthcare personnel during security-related events.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter locations, noting conditions and reporting issues as appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, maintain orderly entry points, and document daily activities, observations, and/or incidents according to site guidelines.

Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include being at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

DayTime: Fri 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
