As a Security Officer Medical Facility Area Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, campus representatives, and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (qualified applications with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

$17.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, overnight shifts: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
