Security Officer Lobby Reception

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer at a healthcare location in Woonsocket, RI, you will serve as a visible, approachable presence at the front desk, welcoming visitors, managing access, monitoring entry activity, and providing outstanding customer service. You will help address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, employees, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Staff the front desk and monitor entry activity, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and direct individuals to appropriate departments or services.
• Maintain awareness of the lobby and reception area, report unusual activity or access concerns, and help to deter unauthorized entry in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events as required.
• Assist with communications by answering phones, providing general directions, coordinating with facility staff, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident records.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.01 per hour

Schedule

Part-time. Thursday 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Saturday 4:00 PM – 11:59 PM.
