Essential Functions
- Assist with emergency situations, First Aid, CPR and AED.
- Demonstrates and adheres to working knowledge a Community Emergency Response Team Certification.
- Is an essential member of Goodwill's Emergency Response Team.
- Assists in the training of new Security Officers in company standards.
- Security policies and procedures.
- Helps promote health, safety and liability awareness.
- Acts as a safety leader.
- Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensures security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
- Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Checks all vehicles and donation center doors, lift gates and roll-up doors to determine they are locked and secured.
- Notifies management immediately if any illegal activity is conducted during business hours.
- Safeguards company property, including donated goods.
- Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property to management immediately.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience: 1 year or more experience required.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office, e-mail and internet preferred.
- Certificates & Licenses: CPR/FA/AED Certificate, Community Emergency Response Certified, Basic OSHA Certified, Fire safety Certified.
Pay
$21.00-$22.50 hourly

50% to 75% travel required
