Security Officer Identity Control

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a welcoming, secure environment for employees and visitors. Your visible presence, clear communication, and customer-focused approach help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and vendor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with drivers, employees, visitors, and site personnel while supporting orderly entry and exit processes.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
