About the role

As a Security Officer Identity Verification in Theodore, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming, controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, employee, and contractor entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas, shipping and receiving locations, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized entry and/or removal of property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points; report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
