About the role

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Rounds in Willoughby, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with wayfinding, de-escalating routine issues when possible, and communicating with compassion and respect in high-traffic healthcare locations.

Requirements

  • Proof of required vaccinations for hospital site access is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
