Security Officer Hospital patrol- Full Time

The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. This position offers unmatched access to hands-on experience and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and support a professional environment for everyone at the location.
• Support emergency and medical-related response procedures by communicating clearly with staff and first responders and following post orders during urgent situations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
• A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Skills

• Ability to work in a healthcare environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies and respond calmly.
