Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to enforce location rules and post orders, and report maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support a professional atmosphere by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and following Allied Universal protocols for incident response, reporting, and escalation.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Compliance with hospital vaccination requirements is required.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, if required by the post.
- At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian)
- Verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

Full time schedule: Saturday-Wednesday- 0700-1500 Monday-Friday- 1500-2300 Saturday-Tuesday & Thursday 1500-2300 Monday-Friday- 2300-0700 Saturday-Tuesday & Thursday 2300-0700
Part time schedule: Thursday - Sunday- 0700-1500 Friday - Sunday & Wednesday- 1500-2300 Friday - Sunday & Wednesday- 2300-0700
