Security Officer - Hospital Overnights FT

About the role

As a Full Time Hospital Morgue Patrol Security Officer in Thornton, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare environments. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This role involves responding to security-related situations, including assisting with restraint incidents and managing morgue-area access.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, access concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, visitor guidance, and documentation of incidents and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Able to restrain individuals as needed.
• At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$21.63 per hour.
