About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access procedures, and adherence to facility policies.
  • Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related matters in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
