About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location in Moncks Corner, SC, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, assist with access control, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• Be willing to comply with hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.00 / hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
