Security Officer - Hospital Emergency Response

About the role

As a Security Officer Hospital Emergency Response in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare settings. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This role involves providing compassionate customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal’s culture of integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and directions throughout the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue and restrain individuals in a hospital setting.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.00 / Hour

• Tuesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
