Job Description

As a Security Officer Healthcare Center in Bethpage, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness while delivering outstanding customer service and communication.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, assisting with access control, and supporting security-related concerns in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and/or document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials where required, and/or report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
  • Support emergency response activities by assisting with directions, crowd management, and communication during medical, fire, and/or other site incidents as outlined by post orders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
