About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear records of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
