Security Officer Gatehouse Access

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document arrivals, departures, and other security-related activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, loading areas, and shipping and receiving zones, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, report unusual activity, and support orderly traffic flow for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or freight movement throughout the location.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
