Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control authorized access, verify credentials, and/or document visitor and contractor activity in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and/or contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
• Support healthcare location operations by assisting with lobby and access point coverage, providing directions, and/or completing detailed reports related to incidents, access activity, and daily post responsibilities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent.
