About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing access, verifying visitors, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a professional presence, and use communication and technology skills to support residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, community policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with residents and guests while providing directions, answering routine questions, and escalating access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$21.40 / hour

Schedule

• Full Time / Swing Shift
• Wednesday: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
