About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Newport News, VA. Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. Build positive relationships through exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, check credentials as required, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery traffic in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
