Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Inspection

About the role

As a Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors while responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail center, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting security-related incidents, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with management, tenants, and local responders as needed.

Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
