Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Risk Mitigation Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will support an educational location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, responding to concerns, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, residence halls, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance concerns through required communication channels.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.39 per hour.
