Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Prevention Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Saint Louis, MO, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization in accordance with site procedures and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
