Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Review

About the Role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Kapolei, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Education. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus representatives.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.75 per hour.
