About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Preparedness in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and report observations. This role supports a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, agile, and innovative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing personnel, visitors, and vehicle activity, verifying authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Support the orderly movement of deliveries and operations by maintaining a professional presence and reporting policy violations, hazards, or operational concerns to site leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
