Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Preparedness

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in El Segundo, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vendors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Alarm panel experience.
- Customer service experience.

$32.79 / hour
